This is a day to celebrate the uniqueness and charm of rural America and its citizens. Each state office of rural health will be working to increase awareness for rural healthcare and highlighting the efforts and achievements towards advocacy in rural communities.

Call for Nominations: 2017 Community Stars!
NOSORH is now collecting “Community Star” nominations to recognize the dedicated individuals and organizations who go above and beyond to make their rural community a better place to live, work and play! 

  • The “Community Stars” e-book, published annually on National Rural Health Day, honors and gives a personal voice to rural people, providers, advocates, and communities across the country
  • Stories should document just a few shining examples of service and dedication to the people who call rural America home
