2026 Rural Michigan Opioid and Substance Use Summit

The Northern Michigan Opioid Response Consortium and the Michigan Center for Rural Health is proud to present the 2025 Rural Recovery Hero Award to Madeleine McConnell!

Her work has focused on expanding access to Medication-Assisted Treatment, integrating Peer Recovery Coaches into healthcare and emergency settings, and advancing innovative, community-based recovery supports that improve care coordination and reduce barriers for individuals and families in rural communities. Her impact reflects a deep commitment to collaboration, person-centered care, and sustainable recovery solutions.
