The Michigan Center for Rural Health is committed to helping EMS organizations throughout rural Michigan. MCRH provides EMS continuing education opportunities and works to improve sustainability of Ambulance services to these communities.

2026 EMS Leadership Academy

The EMS Leadership Academy held this year from June 15–19, is a 40-hour, immersive training designed for rural EMS leaders at any stage of their career. Hosted with support from MCRH and facilitated by SafeTech Solutions, this hands-on experience goes beyond traditional classroom learning—focusing on real-world leadership, culture building, and practical problem-solving. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, peer collaboration, and scenario-based learning to strengthen their leadership approach and support their organizations. Tuition is covered by MCRH, with meals included. Space is limited, and participants are selected through an application process.
