Grand Rounds Programs

MCRH offers numerous Grand Round Programs which are telebroadcasted free throughout rural Michigan via Video-conference, Audio-conference & Webinars.

How Programs are Viewed

Video-conference Programs: Sites use standards-based video conference equipment such as Polycom, Tandberg, Lifesize, etc. (not a webinar/webcast) to join a live interactive presentation where you can see and hear the speaker as well as their PowerPoint presentation.   Participants are able to interact with the presenter for the question & answer component at the end of the program.
Audio-Conference Programs: Participants listen on their telephone to the presenter(s) and follow along on their printed copy of the PowerPoint.  They are able to ask questions at the end of the presentation via their phone.   Remember: If you do not have video conference equipment, you can obtain an audio line (requested 3-4 days prior to the program) and listen to the presentation on your telephone and follow along with a printed copy of the program’s PowerPoint.
Webinar Programs: Participants view the presenter’s PowerPoint on their own computer and listen to the presentation on their telephone after they receive a call in number.  Participants receive the URL log in address for the webinar approximately one week prior to the presentation with a link to double check their computer to make sure it can access the program.
If you sign up for a program and cannot attend please notify MCRH, REMEC, UPTN, or SWTH of your unavailability to attend.   Also, do not forget to send in your attendance sheet and fill out the evaluation within two weeks of the date of the program.
